Members of the Group had a very enjoyable day out at the Greenwood Centre, fine weather to start alas true to the Summer, it turned wet but what the heck!
Once again this year we have been invited to put up our stall at the event which will take place at Wern Farm, Pentraeth Road, Menai Bridge between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 5 August 2012. We are arranging a ‘tombola’ stall as well as providing information of Autism and Asperger’s Syndrom.
If you have any suitable goods for the stall please let the group know and we will try to arrange collection.

An additional meeting of the group will be held at Palas Pinc, Y Felinheli at 7pm on Tuesday 17 July, 2012. Our guest speaker will be Eifiona Williams from Coleg Menai who will give information on various courses available at the College for young people aged 16 – 25 who are on the ASD. The subjects include Pre-Vocational Programmes – Independent Living Skills, ICT and social skills and Vocational Studies – 2 afternoons a week on various subjects. You are welcome to come along and listed and find out if there is anything for you at the College
The Young Adults Social Group will be holding their annual sponsored walk on Wednesday 11 July, 2012 commencing at the Bangor Pier at 7pm. Please feel free to join us, we will walk to Port Penrhyn and then through the City. Sponsirship Forms are available from the Secretary at 01248 364015.
Mari Parker from Carmel, Caernarfon will be participating in the British Gas Great Manchester Swim on the 1st of July to raise money for the Group. This is a 1 mile swim staged at Salford Quays, Greater Manchester.
Mari has been training for the last couple of weeks at Llanberis Lake in very cold temperatures.

Dr Mike Jackson, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Academic Lead for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities reports on research carried out on patients in the Mental Health Teams who may have ASD.
