I am climbing the 13 highest peaks in Snowdonia for GAAASG because I want to help the GAAASG Youth Club. I have heard that the funding for the youth club has been cut back and I would like to raise as much as I can to help keep the youth club running.
The challenge I have set myself is to climb the thirteen highest mountains in Snowdonia. I will start from on 1 July in Llanberis and climb Snowdon and Crib Goch. Snowdon is 1085m high (or in old money 3560 feet). The following day I will walk over to Ogwen climbing Elider Fawr 924m (3030 feet),Y Garn 947m (3107 feet), Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach then Tryfan at 915m – just over 3000 feet at 3002! The next day I will be walking from Ogwen to Aber completing the rest ofg my challenge climbing Pen y Ole Wen, The Carneddau, Yr Elen, Foel Grach and Foel Fras.
I also have to do all the navigation and plan each walk. Part of the challenge is also to do all the map reading while my dad drives me to each starting point. My dad won’t be helping me with any of the navigation on the walks or map reading in the car but he will be there to support me and will be walking with me.
Please help achieve my goal of raising £2500 for the charity.
